I recently presented and co-wrote Jaffa Stories, a documentary for the BBC, based on my book City of Oranges. Jaffa Stories features several of the people who appear in the book, including the artist Frank Meisler, architect Eyal Ziv, Khamis Abulafia, of the Abulafia bakery, and student activist Sami Abou-Shehade.
The film was broadcast in May 2008, sixty years after Israel's declaration of independence, which the Palestinians call the 'Nakba'.
